Replaced the mainsail halyard today with some help tied up on the river, lowering the mast is never fun let alone on a moving boat, but it gave us a chance to oil and inspect the mast head for the first time in 4 months while threading the new halyard. Replacing the halyard with a new all rope line and removing the old rope wire which had some fraying in it. A Ronstan triple deck organiser is on order at Steve Walker sails and the main sail is up at Walker sails getting some eyelets installed and fitted with sliders/ slugs to make raising the main sail safer and quicker.
The Vang, Jib and Main sail rigging is going to run via a couple high load blocks to the organiser and then to the cockpit through a few new Ronstan cleat cams and into a sheet bag to get the spaghetti of rope into a neater system.

Yes, new painted job started since July outside and in, i got to finish inside eventually, new halyard ropes on now, Ronstan gear showed up today, so when the snow and hail buggers off i will install it and get the cockpit ready for when the sail is done. Sail due back November 3rd but still snow, hail and gale winds around on the NW Tassie coast at the moment.
Been organising the cabin last weekend in the high winds, i never been sea sick in my life and i have been in some 30ft waves on a ship on the Tasman sea heading to NZ, but boy cleaning a boat tied up rocking like mad i was feeling a bit ill.

The sail came back yesterday, Steve Walker sails Wynyard did a fantastic job, much better than i could have done on my own.
They found the luff rope needed to be fixed (stretched), so they repaired it and resewed the seems and installed eyelets and sail slugs.
