Christina

Post by jacktas »

Christana ts 21 has now finally moved to her new home at the NW of Tasmania, needs a little bit of fixing before it hits the water but no drama and huge eternally thanks to Simon for the help with the paying off the sale for the boat. Is great this boat and my first sailing boat so looking forward to hitting the water soon, big Bass strait storm hit us on the 9 hour drive home last night and that is still raining hard now 13 hours later.
Below the pictures from almost 1am this morning when finally pulled into the home.

Nice, congratulations! Let us all know how you go with her, plenty of advice here and via the Hartley TS18-21 Yacht Club:

I seem to remember she is a bilge keeler?

I am doing a painting and make over inside the cabin as it is still rain each day here, when a couple sunny days show up i will start painting the top of the cabin again. Wednesday at this stage the tide is perfect at 1pm, swell is 40cm and wind 5 knots, so we may get her into the water and anchored at the marina. Only issue we have here is the outboard motor is not working on the boat, i have to get it off for the mechanic to look at it and put my zongshen outboard on it while the mechanic fixes the mercury.

Yes a bilge keeler, they both fixed firm on the hull with no issues.

motor fires up, works fine just cant change out of gear, a wire cable we think is either salt jammed or snapped, mechanic friend of mine when he has a free day will pop up with his tool bag and fix it.
as we got a few good light wind, low swell and sunshine no rain later this week we going out on a group sail
